We are looking to hire a skilled Web Specialist to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
The ideal candidate is a talented artist with extensive technical expertise who can work alongside a team and independently in the creation, maintenance, and updates of websites for clients in a variety of industries.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Creating the website architecture.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Operating with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Conducting WordPress training with the client.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Website designing, building, or maintaining. - Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
- Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
- Directing or performing Website updates.
- Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.
- Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing
- Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
- WEB Development – (PHP basics; Forms; HTML and CSS; MySQL; JavaScript basics).
- Web Security – (Security optimisation; Malware Removal; Regular Database Backups).
- Web Hosting – (Hosting and migration; SSL Certificate installation; Mail management).
Requirements
To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end design, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.
Technical
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field;
- Fluent in English;
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Knowledge in PHP basics; Forms; HTML and CSS; MySQL; JavaScript basics;
- Portfolio would be preferable.
Personal
- Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
- Good organisational & time-management skills;
- Ambitious, pro-active, determined, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic;
- Strong desire to grow, as an individual and within a company;
- Capacity to both works effectively in a team and independently;
- Ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
