When I was younger, I taught myself how to knit crosses out of wire. I then sold them to my friends and I was using the money for buying bouncing balls and chewing gum. At a later point in time, I was obsessed with watching documentaries, and reading interesting articles on the internet to the point that my colleagues gave me the nickname “Vaskopedia”. Nowadays I don’t do that as often as I would like to, but I can still surprise people with some interesting facts from my “archive”.
But enough about my childhood. I knew about Coordea ever since the first office in Tetovo opened as I knew most of the people joining Coordea at the time. They were all telling me that the working environment and the conditions are great, so I had quite high expectations before I started my own journey. I was told that the company was giving the employees room to learn and develop themselves as professionals, but it actually took me six applications and two or three interviews to join the crew, and eventually, I got accepted. I must say that Coordea exceeded my expectations quite soon after I joined it. The first job opportunity I got in the field where I am passionate and educated, accounting, was given by Coordea. During my time at Coordea, I have had a chance to travel to different places and work with different people around the world. I consider this to be a fulfilment both professionally and personally as it helped me to gain new skills and gave me the opportunity to meet with people of different cultures and with different personalities. The thing I am most proud of during my journey here in Coordea is being given the “Co-Worker of the year”- award in 2017. I am especially thankful to my colleagues for voting for me, but at the same time I am also proud of myself for achieving that. In addition, the same year I received the same award from the client I was working with on their 30th anniversary celebration. It is fair to say that 2017 was a good year.
I see success as a journey, not a destination. Every milestone, big or small, makes me move forward. It allows me to develop stronger skills and enhance my performance in every field. This is not just professional growth, helping the company reach new heights, it also helps me grow personally and feel successful. It is a feeling I enjoy re-earning whenever the chance arises. I started off small, with baby steps, as an accounting assistant dedicated to a specific client. I was first responsible for the conference that the client was organizing that year. As I gained more experience, I later started doing more and more daily, and then weekly tasks. Today I am part of the biggest team in Coordea and even responsible for the year bookending for the clients I work with. I must say that the expectation I had when joining the company about learning and growing in my career choice has definitely exceeded. Every day working at Coordea brings something new and interesting; new tasks, projects, and problems. Travelling and meeting with people from different countries, learning about their culture and lifestyle is also something that is part of the whole experience. But perhaps the thing that I like the most about working at Coordea is the atmosphere and the people I work with. Everyone is positive, willing to help, share experiences and knowledge and, of course, a few laughs in between. That is why we call ourselves the Coordea Family.
Limitations live only in our minds. To future Coordea talents, I just want to say that there is no way around doing the work it takes to get you where you want to go. By using your imagination, the possibility for reaching your biggest dream becomes limitless. Trust people, and move forward together with them, then success will take care of itself.
And I feel confident to say that Coordea is exactly that – a story of success.
