1) How did your Coordea story start?
Every good story starts with just one phone call, and from zero to hero. To start my Coordea story, I need to go back 9 years. At that time, I was working as an accountant in one Macedonian accounting bureau for a couple of years, then I received a phone call from Vera, one of the owners of Coordea. She came up with the idea that we can start working remotely from Tetovo to give accounting services in Sweden. Of course, I found that idea very interesting and unusual, so, I accepted the opportunity, and I must admit that I love every single day working here at Coordea.
2) What were your expectations of Coordea before you joined?
With the responsibility and opportunity that has been given to me, I expected nothing less than committed work and dedication to reaching the objectives and goals we have. Because I wasn`t familiar with the Swedish accounting rules and regulations, I was thinking that it’s going to be like climbing a mountain, but it turned out that nothing is that hard when you enjoy and love doing it.
3) Has there been anything that surprised you about working at Coordea?
It surprised me that from a couple of people who worked as one, we reached 80+ people, and still we are working as one, we always help and support each other in every possible way.
4) What is the most interesting thing about working here and about the work you do?
When you are surrounded by positive people and environment, the working hours fly by very fast. Besides that, on daily bases, I`m in communication with people from all over the world from Japan, Singapore, USA, France, the UK to Sweden, Poland, Russia, Morocco, and even South Africa, and it is very interesting because through these everyday communications, I am learning more about their cultures and values that all these countries have. If I were searching for this kind of job, I would probably never find it. It is like a dream come true.
5) In your opinion, what do you think makes a good team leader?
I have to say that the crucial thing is good and fair communication between your colleagues because if there isn`t “chemistry” between the two, it will be difficult not only for the team leader but for the whole team. Also, if you want to have a very productive, happy, and non-stressed team, you will need to find balance between all things. So yes, my opinion is that a good leader needs to possess these two abilities.
6) What is your biggest accomplishment at Coordea that you’re most proud of?
The first thing that comes to mind is that I became a better person, more aware, responsible and mature because working with such great people around you definitely makes you a better person. Also, I would like to say that the experience and the knowledge regarding Swedish accounting that I have gained through all these years have accomplished my personality, which I am very proud of. By mentoring, teaching, and leading these young fellows to become respectful accountants is the biggest accomplishment that fulfils my heart, and I am very proud of all of them. Every single person in the world must find their motivation and inspiration, otherwise, you are empty inside, and even small things can make a big difference and make you happy. My endless source of motivation and inspiration that keeps me going on and on is music. I think that I can`t live without music. When Radiohead, Pearl Jam or Coldplay is playing in the background on my headphones, everything goes smoothly. What motivates you? Where do you find your inspiration?
8) Give me a weird fact about you?
As I already mentioned, my passion is music and I can play guitar, accordion, and piano, as well in my free time I am a singer, songwriter, and music maker. I also have one amateur album, so probably if I weren’t an accountant, I would have been the next Max Martin.
9) Do you have any words of advice for aspiring Coordea future talent?
Always think positive, be positive, keep going forward and never turn back, are some of my favourite mottos which I want to share with all of you. It`s not hard to do the right thing, it`s hard to know what the right thing is to do, so don’t stop chasing your dreams, never give up, and be eager to learn more. As a part of Coordea, I have learned all these things, and I believe that each of us is a little spark that needs to be lightened.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][:]
